How to get a UW Thesis
University of Waterloo PhD and Masters theses are available in a number of formats - paper, microfiche, or electronic - and can be found in the catalogue, Primo or TRELLIS, by doing an author, title, or keyword search.
- Paper and microfiche copies of most UW theses are available for use within the library and reproductions may be purchased.
- Those theses available electronically may be downloaded anywhere.
- Paper copies of our theses are for use only within the library.
- Very recent theses are usually not available in the Library for several months after acceptance; in such cases you may want to contact the department in which the author studied.
- There are many senior undergraduate essays from the Faculty of Environmental Studies and the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies in the catalogue which carry the label "thesis". These should not be confused with theses submitted as part of the requirements for a Masters or PhD degree.
