Library and Archives Canada is the result of the 2004 merging of former National Library of Canada and National Archives of Canada. The URL to LAC is
http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/020154_e.html
On this site the finding aids to holdings in former National Archives of Canada are found in base ArchiviaNet. Records pertaining to former National Library of Canada are found in base Amicus. ArchiviaNet and Amicus can be accessed from the upper right of the welcome page.
Single sheet maps in our CARTO base:
http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/020154_e.html
This site includes the entries found in our old map card catalogue, more or less the entries contained in our 16-volume Catalogue of the National Map Collection, Public Archives of Canada, published by G.K. Hall & Company in 1976. It also includes some more recent entries relating to early maps. The above does not include our map, atlas and globe descriptions included in the Amicus base. We are working on bringing together all our entries there into one dedicated view. At the present time our entries in Amicus are found under "Entire Amicus Database" i.e. the national union catalogue, at http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/02012302_e.html
i.e., they are not under "National Library Collections". Our location symbol is OOA or OOAMA.
Please note that the Amicus entries for National Library collections also contain descriptive entries to early atlases and books with maps and other geography and exploration and travel account books acquired by National Library of Canada now part of Library and Archives Canada. Atlases received in legal deposit by former National Library are also described there.

Electoral maps of Canada:

Not comprehensive. Electoral maps are also described in the other URLs.
Government cartographic and architectural accessions:
http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/02012302_e.html
To find the government cartographic and architectural accessions, researchers need to access the above URL leading to "General inventory", then check "government records" and "accessions" and type in "cartographic material" or architectural drawings" in the keywords box. This give access to over 650 accessions of cartographic accessions representing over 700,000 documents. New entries are regularly added. Many accession entries of government architectural drawings are completed but not yet accessible at this URL.
Private architectural and cartographic collections:
http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/02012302_e.html
Check "Private records" and "Accessions" and type "Architecture" or "Architectural drawings" in the keywords box. This area is in construction and only a portion of our private accessions for architectural and cartographic collections are currently available on our site.
