Proxy Problems

"What would you like to see added or changed on the Electronic Journals
pages?"

Journals pages? I would like it if there was access to the journals from outside of the schools. It would make researching a lot easier if it was possible to search all of the e-journals from my home computer. As well, I think there should be more clarification as to which journals can actually be found in our library so that we don't waste time looking up journals that we cannot access in the library. Perhaps a search engine that just searches journals at UW and gives us the listing with their call number so that they are easier to find. |
A log-in for off-campus access. I tried accessing the journals from Toronto and no matter where I logged in, I could not gain access. A log-on right in the journal page would make things a lot easier |
home access |
Easier access for students away on co-op |
I would like to have easier access to journals such as Canadian journal of Zoology, from over seas. As I am doing big parts of my studies in Iceland. I have not been able to get into those journals, after they made the recent changes |
Make access easier for off campus connection |
Process of access from home unreliable - takes too long and doesn't always work |
Proxy connections to "Access Restricted" journals does not always work. |
The pop-up menu under Alumi/Community Resources list full-text ejournals as being a resource available to this group. However, the document to which this screen connects says that this resource is only available to current students, staff and faculty. This is most annoying! Either make the resource available, or remove the option from the pop-up menu. |
Would like to be able to access from home so I don't have to come to the library |
Functional off-campus access through DSL. When on-campus, ability to send downloaded text articles and PDF's to my email account so I don't have to bring 10 floppies to the library. |
